Poetry and writing workshop with Page 28 and In Between the Lines

Welcome to a poetry reading and writing workshop! With a focus on transitions and environments of change, Page 28 and In Between the Lines (IBTL) invite you to a writing workshop at Malmö Konsthall. The day begins with two readings by poets based in Malmö followed by a workshop for writing and poetry creation. You are welcome regardless of previous experience in writing. The number of seats is limited, please register in advance at pool.yael@gmail.com. The workshop is conducted in English, but you can write in any language of your choice.

Poet Yaël Pool will guide and assist you in writing your own texts and share tips that can be useful in poetry creation. The workshop delves into the realm of post-colonial poetry and navigates through the complexities of creation amidst moments of sorrow, dissonance, and connection. We explore themes such as colonialism and freedom. To embrace the transformative future, we must confront our past and pave the way for future solidarity.

In Between the Lines (IBTL) is a platform to empower queer, multilingual, and racialized voices through poetry. Participants are encouraged to blur the boundaries between context and language and to listen to what is meant without needing to understand exactly what is said.

The event is organized in collaboration with Page 28, an LGBTQ bookstore and cultural venue in Malmö.
