Opening KOO JEONG A:
EHM [Event Horizon Malmö]

at

Welcome to the opening and summer party! The summer exhibition at Malmö Konsthall consists of the artwork “OooOoO Malmö” (2024): a skatepark constructed entirely of wood. The artist, KOO JEONG A, representing South Korea at this year’s Venice Biennale, has created a star-shaped sculpture for Malmö Konsthall’s characteristic exhibition space, which will serve as a venue for both skateboarding, movement, and choreography during the summer.

The exhibition “EHM [Event Horizon Malmö]” is curated by Seolhui Lee, Jacob Fabricius, and Mats Stjernstedt. We are looking forward to a vibrant opening night with the activation of the sculpture “OooOoO Malmö”, inauguration in the presence of the artist, curators, and co-organizers, and of course, delightful summer hangout in the courtyard of the restaurant Smak. Co-hosts for the opening night are Bryggeriets Gymnasium & Skate Malmö. Bring your skateboard and bring life to the sculpture!
