Lisa Robertson and OEI: Book Release, Reading, and Talk

elcome to an afternoon where the publishing house OEI editör presents a new book by Lisa Robertson, “The Baudelaire Fractal”. Lisa Robertson will read from the book and engage in a conversation with its translator, Jonas (J) Magnusson. Cecilia Grönberg will introduce new issues of the OEI magazine and other books from OEI editor’s spring and autumn releases. The program will be in English and Swedish.

“The Baudelaire Fractal” is Robertson’s debut novel, where the protagonist, Hazel Brown, wakes up one morning in a hotel room and realizes that she is the author of Charles Baudelaire’s complete works.

OEI magazine started in 1999 and has published 101 issues. It is interested in literature and art, experiments and montages, critical investigations, and counter-historiographies. Since 2002, the publishing house OEI editör has released around a hundred titles. To OEI’s website

Lisa Robertson is a poet and author, born in Canada and currently residing in France. Some of her notable works include “Boat, Anemones: A Simone Weil Project,” “Cinema of the Present,” “Nilling,” “The Weather,” “Occasional Works and Seven Walks from the Office for Soft Architecture,” “Debbie: An Epic,” and “XEclogue.
