Dreams

The word dream implies something that is not real, something that is yet to materialize. A nebulous half-imagined goal, floating somewhere in the future.

It can suggest the subconscious, that without any apparent direction, performs its wild piece on the night’s milky stage. Or the Mare, leaving the dreamer with a wildly pounding heart. But a dream can also be the opposite, something light and joyous that lifts your spirit and makes the day easier to get through.

What would become of mankind if we lost our ability to dream? Would we lose our purpose, or essence, the things that make us human?

Or would we just quietly accept it?

During autumn the artists from The Creative Workshop at Skåne Stadsmission have interpreted dreams in a medium of their choice. The Creative Workshop is a part of Skåne Stadsmission social programme in Malmö, where everyone over 18 years is welcome to participate
