Welcome to a workshop in Finnish at Malmö Konsthall

What is a home? What makes you feel at home? Is it a place, a language, the people around us, or something we carry with us? Do you have a story you’ve heard from a family member that you would like to share?
Inspired by Bouchra Khalili’s exhibition “How to Call a Ghost”, we explore questions of home, homeland and belonging. Through simple moving-image exercises, we create our own stories around the theme of homeland.
We experiment with different ways of making images move and explore techniques such as the camera obscura, thaumatrope, zoetrope and flip books.
Children and adults create together, and no prior experience is required.

Onko se paikka, kieli, ympärillämme olevat ihmiset vai jotain, mitä kannamme mukanamme? Onko sinulla tarina, jonka olet kuullut perheenjäseniltäsi ja jonka haluat jakaa muiden kanssa?
Bouchra Khalilin näyttelyn ”How to Call a Ghost” innoittamana tutkimme kysymyksiä kodista, kotimaasta ja kuulumisesta. Yksinkertaisten liikkuvan kuvan harjoitusten avulla luomme omia tarinoita teemaan kotimaa liittyen.
Kokeilemme muun muassa camera obscura-, taumatrop-, zoetrop- ja taitekirjatekniikoita.
Lapset ja aikuiset luovat yhdessä, eikä aiempaa osaamista tarvita.
