Children’s Concert, Mother Goose’s Musical Tales

at

Offstage Kammarmusikförening presents some of the stories from “Mother Goose Tales” by Charles Perrault (1697) with music by Maurice Ravel (1910). The storyteller is Harald Leander, accompanied by a sign language interpreter. The concert lasts about 45 minutes. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to paint in Verkstan, with inspiration from the music.

The program is adapted for children with hearing impairments but is equally suitable for hearing children. Leander’s stories are interpreted by a sign language interpreter. Music speaks through its vibrations, so when you get close, you can truly feel the music. Suitable for all children, ages 6-100. After the concert, it is possible to stay in Verkstan and paint with inspiration from the music.

OffStage Kammarmusikförening is a non-profit association based in Malmö which strives to create chamber music concerts with a social dimension and build bridges through classical chamber music.

The vision is to bridge gaps for those who rarely experience classical music. By overcoming the barriers of the label, we take the music away from the traditional scene and explore new places, creating a more intimate and direct connection with the listeners.

Harald Leander is an actor, director and playwright. He has been freelancing for a long time in the performing arts area with Malmö as a starting point. Among other things, he has been artistic director at Teater 23 and artistically responsible for children’s and youth activities at the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. He has also collaborated with, for example, Malmö Opera, Musica Vitæ, Helsingborgs Symphony Orchestra and Norrlandsoperan. To the general public, he is also known for his many audiobook readings and his participation in “Wallander”, “Bron” and the children’s and youth series “Barda” and “Cirkus Imago”.
