In advance of the election, Ideell Kulturallians Skåne, together with SISAM (Association of Study Associations in Cooperation) and Konstfrämjandet Skåne, invites you to a conversation about the role of culture in society – from funding and working conditions to accessibility and democracy. The conversation will be held in Swedish and takes place at Restaurang SMAK.

The conversation will focus on a regional perspective and on Region Skåne’s role as a development actor for cultural infrastructure. Questions to be addressed include:

The main cultural policy issues of the political parties

How the goal of equal access to art and culture can be achieved

Funding for culture

Conditions for artistic creation

The role of culture in society and democracy

All eight parliamentary parties represented in the Regional Council of Skåne’s Cultural Committee will take part. The discussion will be moderated by Petra Quiding, a journalist with a background at SVT and Sveriges Radio.
