Arena 305 presents: Gr8 Ones Street Dance Collective
Gr8 Ones Kulturförening is a non-profit association founded in Malmö 4 years ago with a goal based on strengthening and maintaining the cultural scene, with a focus on street dance and club environments. With its knowledge and commitment, the association has organized dance battles, panel discussions, social gatherings, and educational sessions aimed at youth and adults, with the purpose of increasing understanding of the origins and development of street dance. The association sees culture as an important tool for learning about identity, belonging, creativity, and rights in society.
In collaboration with Arena 305, Gr8 Ones will present a shorter performance focusing on the roots of hip-hop dance, where elements such as “freestyle,” “social steps,” and “call-and-response” are central. Afterwards, a workshop will be held where participants can try different dances included in the performance. No prior knowledge is required, so even beginners can participate! So feel free to come and dance!
