Performance: The upheaval

Performance: The upheaval
at –
A site-specific dance performance by Skånes Dansteater about ecological sustainability and relationships. Come and go as you like at Konsthallstorget.
Skånes Dansteater, together with choreographer Philippe Blanchard and dramaturge Maika Knoblich, has created “The Upheaval” – an exploratory project on ecologically sustainable practices in the performing arts. It begins with a dance performance and then transitions into a panel discussion on the same theme. Read more about the panel discussion here.
In the project, six dancers have developed a site-specific work inspired by philosopher Édouard Glissant’s concept of opacity. Rather than seeking fixed origins or meanings, the work invites us to observe a web of relationships, histories, and gestures. Can dance – as a temporal and embodied art form – offer a way of thinking and creating that is ecologically attuned, relationally grounded, and politically relevant?
At Konsthallstorget, you are invited to experience the exploratory process and practice of *The Upheaval*. Come and go as you like.
