Konstlyftet – Vi minns och glömmer aldrig

The Konstlyftet exhibition “We Remember and Never Forget” brings together eleven artists from day activity programs. The artists have created paintings—on wooden panels—inspired by themes such as freedom, autumn, and the artist Gösta Lindqvist.

During the month of October, eleven artists from LSS-supported day activities and housing met on seven occasions in the workshop to create paintings on wooden panels. The artists explored different ways of working with the wood surface, resulting in clearly individual expressions. Some works combine oil pastels, watercolour, or acrylic paint with spray paint. In some cases, sandpaper was used to “sandblast” the surface or make it softer. Discussions and conversations were shared throughout the workshops, helping to move the work forward. Themes of freedom were explored, and reflections of the autumn season are visible in the works. One participant has drawn inspiration from the late artist Gösta Lindqvist and dedicates their works to him. The exhibition finissage will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
