Inspired by our current exhibition, the pioneering artist, composer, mathematician, philosopher and trans woman CC Hennix and in time for the Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31st, we are collaborating with the LGBTQ Student group at Malmö University.

They will host the workshop Gender Affirmations, which through creative expression encourages us to examine and question the binary thinking that shapes our understanding of gender. Using binary concepts like black/white, x/y, 0/1, Male/Female, you will create sculptures and collages from paper, paint and grids. How can we visualise our own personal understanding of these binary systems, and how we move past them, both as a society and on a personal level.
