Fylkingen c/o Malmö Konsthall:
Concert & performance
at –
Experience the artistic practice of Catherine Christer Hennix through music, which was the red thread running through her entire body of work. In collaboration with Fylkingen—one of the world’s oldest artist-run, non-profit associations for experimental music and art—the art hall presents an evening programme featuring choreography by Adam Seid Tahir and a live performance by Luka Aron. Preliminary start time: 5:30 pm.
Fylkingen is an artist-run, non-profit association for experimental music and art. It was founded in 1933, making it one of the world’s oldest forums of its kind.More about Fylkingen.
Luka Aron
Luka Aron is a composer and performer working between Stockholm and Berlin. His music centres on the convergence of synthesis and acoustic instrumentation, folding the force of power electronics into fragile timbral architectures shaped by breath, pressure, and touch. His compositions activate psychoacoustic and spatial phenomena, probing the thresholds of perception and the edges of subjectivity. Algorithmic structures and idiosyncratic tunings create slow-moving sound fields that
thicken and distort over time—described by The Guardian as “thick, impasto layers of slow-moving sound that completely command your attention”.
Aron studied at the Musik-Akademie Basel and earned a Master’s degree in electroacoustic composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Recent collaborators include Skúli Sverrisson, Ludwig Wandinger, Rian Treanor, Elvin Brandhi, and Peter Evans. He is a member of Minua and the group Roomer.
Adam Seid Tahir
Adam Seid Tahir (they/them) is a choreographer and creative technologist. Their two roles involve crafting performative work, web-based work and more. Seid Tahir is interested in runology and the idea of an Afro-Nordic folklore. Their work tries to retell the history and mythology of the Nordic land on which they grew up and still live on through a queer Afro-diasporic and post-anthropocentric lens.
All of Seid Tahir’s works deal with the personal and mythological as political. Through this they construct emotional and sensory fictive worlds where they critique certain societal constructions. In other words, they use fiction to create resistance, question and distort different subjects and realities.
Seid Tahir has presented their work in contexts including: Kunstenfestivaldesarts (BE), MDT (SE), Kampnagel Summer Festival (DE), Tanzquartier (AT), Dansehallerne (DK), Emergentia (CH), Bâtard (BE), My Wild Flag (SE), Dubrovnik Summer Festival (HR), Dance Umbrella (UK) and more. They continuously work with other artists including: Lydia Östberg Diakité and Amina Seid Tahir.
