Curator’s tour of CC Hennix

at

Meet one of the exhibition’s curators for a special tour of the CC Hennix exhibition. Lawrence Kumpf and art center director Mats Stjernstedt will talk about Hennix’s artistic practice, which combines art, mathematics, and spirituality into a unique whole. This tour replaces Saturday’s public tour.

CC Hennix is primarily known as a composer, but the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of her work in the form of painting, sculpture, and sound installations. Although Hennix remained relatively unknown for much of her life, the renewed interest in her work has brought attention to an extraordinary output that helps expand the conversation about minimalism—both in music and visual art—as well as discussions on spirituality, mathematics, and gender identity.
