Art Workshop for Children and Youth with Disabilities

Art Workshop for Children and Youth with Disabilities
at –
Educators from Malmö Konsthall and the Culture School invite children and young people with special needs to a creative workshop. Bring your family, a companion, or a friend.
The workshop is free, but registration is required. When you sign up, please choose whether you want to attend from 1:00–2:30 PM or 2:30–4:00 PM. Register for the workshop here.
We gather to create together. Using spirographs, colors, and patterns, we make our own artworks inspired by simple shapes and repetitions. Everyone participates in their own way and at their own pace. For those who wish, we’ll start with a short introduction to the artist CC Hennix’s exhibition, but it’s just as fine to start creating right away.
The workshop is inspired by the current exhibition of Catherine Christer Hennix. Hennix worked with both visual art and sound, and is considered a pioneer of what is known as minimalism. Her art often explores repetition, small changes, and concentration. Her works also reflect mathematics, spirituality, and questions of identity. She is especially known for her slow, meditative drone music, but she also created installations, sculptures, and paintings.
The workshop is a collaboration between Malmö Culture School and Malmö Konsthall, and is part of a Saturday program for children and young people with disabilities.
