For those interested, the session begins with a short tour (in Swedish) of the exhibition Speaking Volumes. Here you will meet six artists with various disabilities, all working in so-called supported studios—studios that provide assistance with materials, planning, and presenting their art. Their works express more than words can convey.
After the tour, you can try out different techniques such as wax crayon, watercolor, ink, and pencil. Among other things, we explore what happens when oil repels water—a simple but fascinating effect that creates unexpected patterns. You will also make large drawings in ink and pencil and experiment with movement as a means of expression. Discover how your own art can speak—without words.
