Welcome to a workshop with TEKNO Festival!

The workshop offers an exciting opportunity to transform lines of code into live music together with composer and musician Mattias Petersson. It is specifically aimed at girls and non-binary people aged 16–25 and explores the creative intersection of programming and sound.

No prior experience in programming or music production is required. Just bring your curiosity, laptop and headphones, and get ready to turn your laptop into a live music setup!

Participants will learn to code music in real time, transforming their computers into expressive live instruments. Using the free programming environment SuperCollider, you’ll explore how to create new musical patterns and manipulate timbres, rhythms and melodies with code.

The focus will be on listening and exploring how the code interacts with the music.
