Come and make cyanotypes with artist Johanna Schartau.

Cyanotype is an old photographic developing process from the 1800s.

We create photograms/photographic images by placing objects on treated watercolor paper, which is then exposed outdoors and developed in water. While the image dries, we prepare a book cover with text, collage, or drawing where the image will later be glued in. You’re welcome to bring your own small object to create an image with, but there are also items available to borrow.
