Lars Fredrikson

The exhibition at Malmö Konsthall is marking the first major presentation in Sweden of the French-Swedish artist Lars Fredrikson (1926–1997). Malmö Konsthall will showcase Fredrikson’s multifaceted body of work, which includes paintings, engravings, collages, kinetic sculptures and sound works.

“Malmö Konsthall – 50 Years” offers a retrospective of past exhibitions along with a presentation of the building’s architecture. The presentation runs concurrently with other exhibitions in a smaller section of the exhibition hall.

Upcoming

The artist David Cheung is working on a section of his immense artwork, where he uses black ink to draw an entire imaginary world on a white wall. The walls will be assembled into a room for the exhibition.

Speaking Volumes

13.9 2025 – 18.1 2026

The group exhibition “Speaking Volumes” brings to light six unique artistic practices from the USA, UK and Sweden. Participating artists are Nicole Storm, Monica Valentine, Alan Faulds, Mawuena Kattah, Mattias Johansson and David Cheung.
