Co-hosting the opening is the Institute for Degrowth Studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a title=\"https:\/\/malmokonsthall.se\/en\/utstallningar\/otobong-nkanga\/\" href=\"https:\/\/malmokonsthall.se\/en\/utstallningar\/otobong-nkanga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Otobong Nkanga<\/a>\u00a0was born in Kano (Nigeria) in 1974 and is now based in Antwerp (Belgium). In her artistic practice, she explores issues relating to mining and the use of the earth\u2019s resources, as well as the body in its relationship to space and the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I dreamt of you in colours&#8221;, which is Nkanga\u2019s first retrospective exhibition in Scandinavia, brings together works from the 1990s up until today, and includes a multitude of expressions. During the opening, the artist will activate one of the works, Solid Maneuvers (2015), through a performance with the same title. The work incorporates, among other materials, salt, makeup and minerals, and explores the impact of mining on the landscape and the environment. and musical worlds for over ten years, guided by a deep curiosity for rhythm, texture and feeling. Her sets are fluid and intuitive, drawing from a wide range of sounds and influences to create an experience that moves freely between the unexpected and the familiar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather than being defined by a specific genre, DJ VV is interested in the feeling music can evoke the tension, energy and moments of connection that unfold through sound.
