Join Lucy Smalley, curator of the exhibition &#8220;Speaking Volumes&#8221;, in conversation with representatives from the supported art studios in the USA, UK and Sweden that have made the exhibition possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conversation will serve as an introduction to the role and function of supported studios. Together they will explore the potential these structures offer to artists with disabilities and discuss why supported studios are vital\u2014not only for the advancement of contemporary art, but as catalysts for broader systemic change. The conversation will be held in English.  <br\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Speaking Volumes, Malm\u00f6 Konsthall seeks to challenge normative ideas of how artistic quality is defined, and to create space for conversation about representation within contemporary art. Established in 1996, today Inuti runs three daily activity centres in central Stockholm for artists with disabilities, alongside a gallery and an art collection of over 500 works. She has worked for many years as an artist and educator, focusing on issues of access and agency within contemporary art. Studio Syd is a new regional studio, gallery, and platform for artists with disabilities, launching in autumn 2025.
