The project is inspired by the exhibition How to Call a Ghost by Moroccan-French artist Bouchra Khalili (6.6\u201313.9) and aims to bring people together around contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central to Khalili\u2019s work is the belief in the power of oral storytelling. Her exhibition addresses issues related to belonging, community and democracy. The theme has served as a starting point for the project Halaqa, meaning ring, circle and assembly in Arabic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">In the project, Malm\u00f6 Konsthall is working together with Svensk-Algeriska F\u00f6reningen, Hand i Hand and Irakiska Kulturf\u00f6reningen in collaboration with ABF Malm\u00f6. During the exhibition, these associations will arrange creative workshops and special guided tours for the public. Through its activities, the association seeks to highlight the importance of cultural heritage, strengthen participation, and contribute to an open, inclusive, and diverse cultural landscape.
