Sydsvenskans salonger: SPEED 2

 -

How are current political situations reflected in contemporary art, and can the latter make us realise something about our political history? Sydsvenskans salonger is a new collaboration between Malmö Konsthall and the regional newspaper Sydsvenskan in which debate and topics for discussions takes its starting point in the Konsthall’s exhibitions.

Wednesday 10 April 6–7 pm, a talk will be given between Bengt Norborg, foreign correspondent and host of SVT’s Korrespondenterna, Tomas Ries, Associate Professor in strategy and security policies at the National Defence College, Stockholm, and Anna Davour, science journalist and physicist. The moderator is Heidi Avellan, chief political editor at HD/Sydsvenskan.

The invited guests, as well as the exhibition SPEED 2, will discuss the similarities and parallels between the global political climate during the Cold War and the prevailing mood of today with growing climate anxiety and paranoia

The event starts at 5.30 pm with an introduction to the exhibition SPEED 2 by Mats Stjernstedt, Director of Malmö Konsthall.

Co-organised with Sydsvenskan. In Swedish.
Free admission, places are limited.
