CANCELLED: Performance with Fatima Moallim

Fatima Moallim has been invited by curator Tawanda Appiah to activate our current exhibition, FLIGHT, which features works by Kudzanai Chiurai, Frida Orupabo and Eric Magassa. In her performance, she will start from the konsthallen’s existing architecture and draw on the walls of the exhibition adding specifically to Kudzanai Chiurai’s The Library of Things We Forgot to Remember.

Fatima Moallim’s large-scale drawings are created in the encounter with the potentiality of the space and the energies of the audience. Her performance will last about 20 minutes. Fatima Moallim’s drawings will remain as traces of her performance during the rest of the exhibition period of FLIGHT (4.2–9.4 2023).

Fatima Moallim (born 1992) is a self-taught artist who works with drawing, digital works and performance. She has exhibited site-specific works at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Gothenburg Art Gallery, Marabouparken, Zinkensdamm subway station in Stockholm and on the glass facade of Bonnier Art Gallery.
